Ricardian Contracts
These are the value-describing contracts to which the
legal issuer of the instrument binds himself to. The
distribution of these contracts is mostly undefined
(it is Ivan's problem);
here, we've collected the ones we know about.
Click to the
Contracts Directory
to browse them.
Note that their presence or otherwise here does not
signify endorsement by the WebFunds team in any manner.
Use at your own risk.
SOX Server Descriptors
By convention, a SOX Server
identifies itself by a SOX Server Descriptor (or SSD),
a file which lives somewhere on the net.

SSD Repository
to browse them.
We use some dramatis personas to help the conversation:
-
Alice is a user, generally the first in a transaction,
-
Bob is a second user, when needed, and
-
Carol is a third user.
-
Ivan is an issuer of digital instruments,
either person who signs the Ricardian contract, or
the server that manages the issue, depending on
the context.
-
Matilda is an independant market maker or
merchant who buys and sells. As she performs an
important role in both the overall financial system
architecture, and as she uses distinct retail
protocols, she deserves a persona all to herself.
