• XML would seem to be the perfect format
  data interchange format, understood by many
• may break "equality requirement"
  "all versions should be equal"
• More experimentation required
  clarify canonicalization, try in WebFunds

XML is the "way of the future" so we may need to overcome the "equality requirement" issue?
